Patrons of Meteor Buffet in Huntsville, Alabama were treated to dinner and a show after diners John Chapman and Chequita Jenkins broke out into a physical fight over the restaurant’s famous crab legs.

Gerald Johnson, a Huntsville police officer, happened to be on the scene when Chapman and Jenkins started pushing each other while waiting in line at the local buffet.

Officer Johnson says he heard some squabbling before the pushing and shoving began, with accusations such as “You cut me in line!” and “I was here first!” started hurling.

Then the unthinkable happen. The two unruly guests grabbed some metal tongs and began battling each other medieval-style.

“It’s not something you typically hear if you can imagine a fencing match,” Johnson said.

The sword-like fight didn’t last long, though. Chapman and Jenkins were both quickly arrested. Chapman currently faces charges of disorderly conduct while Jenkins is facing charges of third-degree assault. Both later agreed they let their tempers and hunger for crab legs go too far.

Chapman, who received a cut to his head during the brawl, is scheduled to appear in court on May 21. The court date for Jenkins is not yet known.
