A picture of a bridesmaid wearing a Tyrannosaurus costume at a wedding has gone viral.

The story behind the famous picture started when the bride, Deanna Adams, asked her little sister Christina Meador asked her to be the maid of honor at her wedding. She sweetened the deal by giving her sister permission to wear whatever she wanted.

“She, knowing that I’m not a big fan of wearing formal dresses and that I probably wouldn’t have a lot of money to buy something really nice, reassured me by letting me know that I could pick out any outfit that I choose,” Meador said in an interview with Daily Mail. “I was trying to think of something that I would be willing to wear more than once and thought to myself, ‘… if I’m spending more than $50, I want it to be a dinosaur costume, because they’re fantastic and I’ve always wanted one.”

Her older sister approved of the idea, but it did come as a surprise to some guests as they tried to suppress their reactions to the giant T-rex in the formal wedding setting.

“I regret nothing.” Meador shared in an Facebook post.
