Chilling Reign, the next expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, was recently revealed. You won’t have to wait long to experience it either, the set is due for a June 18th release.

At the moment, very little is known about the Chilling Reign expansion as most attention is on a different expansion called Battle Styles which was just released on March 19th.

The Battle Styles expansion is mostly inspired by the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield. It includes more than 70 cards, with Urshifu serving as the mascot of the new set as well as receiving a Single Strike VMAX card of its own.

With that in mind, it stands to reason that the Chilling Reign expansion will be the counterpart to Sword and Shield‘s other DLC pack called Crown Tundra. Calyrex, Frostrier and Glastrier are predicted to be featured in the set, and will likely be part of the promotional art as marketing for the TCG ramps up closer to June.
