Crash Bandicoot fans are being downright spoiled this year.

Not only is their favorite video game mascot getting his own mobile game, but now it’s been confirmed that the long-awaited Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on PS4 and XBox One will boast over 100 levels.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was announced unexpectedly this summer.

That’s right, Crash 4 is expected to contain even more levels than all three games in the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy combined. (Collectively they contained 90 levels, fyi.)

And all of that will be offered out of the box. Developer Toys For Bob has already confirmed that the game will not feature micro-transactions. Adding that “As a bonus, the Totally Tubular skins are included in all digital versions of the game.”

Many fans noticed that both Crash and his sister Coco look a little different in the trailer for the new game. The characters, along with the villainous Dr. Neo Cortex, have all received updated designs – presumably since they have grown older since their previous adventures.

While there’s no telling just how many physical and digital units the game will move, you can expect it will be a lot. Both the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled were major commercial successes – with the former selling over 10 million copies worldwide.

Not to mention Toys For Bob’s other rebooted series, Spyro, which was a smash hit as well with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy release.

Both Crash and Coco Bandicoot have received updated designs for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

Following the game’s surprise announcement just months before release, a promotional blurb was also rolled out:

It’s About Time – for a brand-wumping new Crash Bandicoot™ game! Crash fourward into a time shattered adventure with your favorite marsupials.

Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse!

Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the four Quantum Masks and bending the rules of reality. It’s About Time – for a brand-wumping new Crash Bandicoot™ game!

New abilities? Check. More playable characters? Yep. Alternate dimensions? Obviously. Ridonkulous bosses? For sure. Same awesome sauce? You bet your sweet jorts. Wait, are they actually jorts? Not in this universe!

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2nd, 2020. The game, which takes place immediately after the events of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, will retail for $59.99 at launch.
