Everyone’s favorite twisted visual novel series is coming to iOS and Android devices!

Danganronpa is currently in development for mobile devices as a port of the third installment in the series Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.  The release of this mobile port coincides with Danganronpa‘s 10th Anniversary. This continues a recent tradition as the first two games in the series also received mobile versions in 2020.

But you can expect some enhancements to be made to Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition. For starters, it features new user interface for smoother gameplay, and an updated gallery feature.

Danganronpa V3‘s UI has received an upgrade for its mobile debut.

The new port includes other fresh additions to the game, such as the ability to lie during trials, and even two brand new mini-games.

One of the mini-games is called “Ultimate Talent Development Plan”, which takes on a board game style set in an alternate universe where you raise characters and then use them to play the dungeon-crawler mini-game called “Despair Dungeon: Monokuma’s Test”.

The previously mentioned gallery feature in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition has also been enhanced. Now players have the option to view artwork of characters and listen to their voice samples in the gallery.

The gallery has been enhanced for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition.

Developer Spike Chunsoft appears to be putting a lot of care into the mobile version of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony – which makes a lot of sense when you consider that Danganronpa is one of their most popular and successful properties outside of the Zero Escape series and maybe AI: The Somnium Files.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Windows PC back in 2017.

So far the release date for this anniversary edition has not been announced, but we have confirmed it will include both English and Japanese audio with subtitle options for English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese. It’s also expected to sell for $15.99 in the App Store and Google Play.

  1. The mini-games and the ability to lie are features that were already in Danganronpa V3. It seems the only thing they’ve added is the gallery and the UI that is good for mobile devices (which is something they would’ve needed to implement anyways for mobile gamers)
