While fans of the Pokémon trading card game have been enjoying exclusive KFC promo cards while they patiently wait for the highly anticipated Chilling Reign expansion due in June, The Pokémon Company has revealed yet another set that’s slated for release later this summer.

The upcoming set is called Evolving Skies, and it’s likely a localization of the Sky Stream/Towering Perfection sets previously announced for release in Japan.

If that’s the case, expect Rayquaza and Duraludon to feature prominently as the set’s mascots.

Japan will receive its version of the sets on July 9th, with each of them boasting 67 cards, as well as additional secret rare cards. Towering Perfection will emphasize Single Strike cards and showcase Duraludon’s V and VMAX cards as its centerpiece, while Rayquaza will be front and center of the Sky Stream set that emphasizes Rapid Strike cards.

Meanwhile, it’s speculated that the many Eeveelutions of Eevee could be the inspiration behind the “Evolving” tag in the set’s English title, so we could see them play a major role in rounding out the set. Or it could simply be a reference to the Roaring Skies set that was released during the X/Y generation.

Beyond that, all we know is that Evolving Skies is slated for an August 27th release. And who knows, maybe it’ll be available at Target by then.
