Ellen Pao, the disgraced ex-CEO of Reddit who lost a historic lawsuit against a previous employer, has once again made headlines for all the wrong reasons after admitting to having personal knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s underage sex trafficking ring years ago and disturbingly doing nothing about it. Maxwell was recently arrested, following the ousting of US Attorney Geoffrey Berman in New York.
Pao made the shocking admissions on Twitter this Monday, before hastily deleting the incriminating posts after several distressed followers expressed disgust and pressed her for further information.
In the tweets, which have been preserved via screenshots prior to their deletions, Pao claimed to have attended a party where Ghislaine Maxwell was also present in 2011.
“We knew about [Maxwell] supplying underage girls for sex, but I guess that was fine with the ‘cool’ people who managed the tightly controlled guest list,” Pao wrote.
“You all knew?” one user questioned.
“Wait what? Everyone in the room knew she was a child sex trafficker… and no one in the room objected to her presence?” another comment added.
“The nonchalance of this statement is just sickening.” said another.
After the feedback became overwhelmingly negative, Pao attempted to clarify.
“I guess it would be more accurate to say we ‘suspected’ v ‘knew’,” she replied.
Shortly after, the tweets vanished and Ellen Pao set her account to private.
The Jeffrey Epstein web of scandal has caught up many elite power players in it, such as Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and former president Bill Clinton. Current president Donald Trump has also been pictured with Epstein in photos from the 90s, but distanced himself from Epstein after learning of his perverted crimes – even banning the serial abuser from the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.
Prosecuting attorney Bradley Edwards told Palm Beach Daily News that Trump was the only previous acquaintance of Epstein who cooperated in his case.
For now, it is unclear how much knowledge Ellen Pao had into the sordid life and times of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, or whether or not she went to authorities to divulge what she knew.
