Since the end of Goblin Slayer’s first season, fans of the series have been waiting for a full-length theatrical entry in the series – Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown.
Many fans of the armor-wearing hero have been passing the time by reading the light novels and comparing the titular character to The Mandalorian.
A short teaser featuring Goblin Slayer battling goblins in a blurry snowstorm was released last summer, but a new trailer has recently dropped that sheds more light on what’s in store for the sword-wielding warrior. Also, a hot spring scene (of course).
What’s perhaps most interesting is that the new trailer even features English narration. Check it out:
As you can see returning characters include Goblin Slayer, Priestess, High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, Lizard Priest, Guild Girl, and Cow Girl. A new character named Noble Fencer as well as a mysterious villain are also present.
A rough translation of the movie’s synopsis says:
“I don’t save the world, just kill goblins.” In the border guild, there is a rare adventurer-Goblin Killer-who only rises to earn silver by slaying cruel goblins. He coexists with wisdom and strategy. He spares no effort and devotes himself to sweeping away goblins.
After a goddess officer became an adventurer, she joined the Goblin Slayer for the first time and fell into crisis during the adventure. What saved her was the man who was called the “Goblin Slayer”. He spared no effort and devoted himself to slaying goblins, and then added three partners such as fairy archers, miners, and lizard monks.
This time, the theatrical version describes a permafrost land that was attacked by Goblin. The Goblin Slayer and his party are going to rescue the new character imprisoned by Goblin in the snowstorm.
Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown releases on February 27, 2020.
