Earlier this year McDonald’s hopped aboard the Pokémon hype train with the release of limited-time 25th Anniversary Pokémon cards, and now another fast-food restaurant has thrown its hat into the ring.
KFC Indonesia announced it is releasing eight promotional Pokémon cards with the purchase of every kid’s meal available now. The cards feature a variety of Pokémon from both the Sword/Shield and Sun/Moon games.
Stand-outs from the promotion include a Double Blaze Mewtwo, holofoil Charizard, and Full Art Pikachu card with all three Sword/Shield starter Pokémon (Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble) in the background.
It’s not as off-the-wall as previous KFC promotions (like fried chicken-scented fire logs), but Pokémon TCG promos tend to increase in value over time, so if you’re in Indonesia now or know anybody who is, you may want to check it out as soon as possible. As the old adage of our forefathers goes: Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
