Tattoos are an art form in and of themselves, and some of them carry sentimental value.
After a young boy brought a crude drawing home from school, his mother thought it would be sweet to have it forever engraved as a tattoo on her arm to remind her of his childhood after he grows up.
The artwork, a skull-shaped island scribbled in crayon, isn’t impressive by any stretch, but to her the sweet memories it held outweighed its unrefined design.
But there was a problem… after receiving the tattoo she found out the drawing wasn’t actually her son’s. It was his classmate’s.
In an online challenge to post your most meaningless tattoos, the poor woman (username: @th3victorygarden) reveals the ugly tattoo in a video. With a depressed expression on her face, she looks into the camera.
“My son’s friend drew this,” she says. “I thought my son drew this.”

She later adds in a separate video that she’s never told the boy’s parents that she has a tattoo of their son’s drawing.
The video has gone viral, racking up over 200,000 views and receiving more than 31,000 likes.
While most posters responded with the usual ‘lmao’ and ‘lol’ comments, one good samaritan tried to cheer the mom up by saying, “A painting my son made in art class hung in a frame in my kitchen for 10 years before he told me it wasn’t his.”
