Nintendo uploaded its highly anticipated Pokémon Direct to social media on Thursday morning and it did not disappoint.

The direct started with a surprise announce of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, which is a remake of the 2006 title. The enhanced title will feature updated graphics and is slated for release on the Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2020. In the meantime, a free demo is available now on the Nintendo eShop. Save date will carry over to the actual game for those who sell the deal with a purchase.

The rest of the video mainly focused on two expansion passes that are coming to Pokémon Sword and Shield. This DLC looks massive and will include new Pokémon (fighter-type Kubfu, a deer-inspired Calyrex, and their Gigantamax forms), new locations, new rivals, official competitions, a co-op mode, and the return of many Legendary Pokémon just to name a few of additions.

The two expansion passes are titled The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra, respectively. The first expansion releases in June 2020 while the next installment will be available in the fall.

Those who are unable to buy the expansions passes can still obtain the new Pokémon that come with them through others means such as trading.

A brief glimpse of the Pokémon Home cloud service was also shown which will allow for the storage of Pokémon across different platforms.
