Life Finds A Way: Prosthetic T-Rex Arms For Chickens Are A Thing Now

Just when you thought it was safe to visit the countryside, chickens started to devolve back into their dinosaur ancestors.

… Okay, not really, but you still might see some chickens running around with tiny T-Rex arms.

The plastic dino-themed arms were first available as 3D printing files for chicken owners to print out and put on their feathered friends. The arms proved to be so popular, that now they’re widely available on Amazon and at local retailers.

Although they may look funny, science has proven that actual T-Rex arms weren’t as scrawny as they look, and could easily kill a human with one swipe. But don’t let that stop you from putting replica killer dinosaur arms on your chickens.

The plastic arms work sort of like a headband, except they fit around the chicken’s upper chest to produce the ultimate effect of looking like bonafide Tyrannosaurus arms.

The company that produces and sells the arms is called ArmedPets, and they also specialize in making similar products like plastic muscle-builder arms for chickens and baby arms for chickens. Clearly they’ve found their niche and have a loyal customer base ready to upgrade their chickens at a moment’s notice.

But hey, I’m not going to judge. The results speak for themselves: T-Rex arms on chickens are a match made in heaven.
