Carole Baskin, the famous rival of Joe Exotic in Netflix’s Tiger King docuseries, may have forged her deceased husband’s will.

In an interview with 10 Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister confirmed law enforcement has known Don Lewis’ will was a forgery for quite some time. Which does raise further suspicions in the case surrounding the unexplained disappearance of Baskin’s ex-husband.

“They had two experts deem it 100 percent a forgery. But, we knew that…we knew that before,” Chronister explained. Further adding that the reason no charges were pressed was due to expiration of the statute of limitations in the case.

Lewis’ personal friend and former attorney Joseph Fritz previously mentioned he believed his client’s signature was forged on the document which resulted in the transfer of huge sums of money to Baskin’s bank account. The forged will notoriously excluded Lewis’ own family from many benefits.

Lewis himself was allegedly a multi-millionaire when he mysteriously went missing in 1997 and was subsequently declared dead in 2002.

Baskin has done well for herself, not only following the death of Don Lewis but also the release of the Tiger King series. She was recently awarded ownership of Joe Exotic’s old zoo.
