Nearly a month before the US election, President Donald Trump has received his third Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
Noted law professor David Flint along with four Australian law professors are nominating Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing the “Trump Doctrine” as a primary driver for the decision.
“He has, firstly, common sense, and he is only guided by national interest, and therefore an interest in the western alliance” Professor Flint said in an interview with Sky News, “What he has done with the Trump Doctrine is that he has decided he would no longer have America in endless wars, wars which achieve nothing but the killing of thousands of young Americans.”
Trump’s previous two nominations were for his role in brokering several landmark peace deals in the Middle East. This most recent nomination marks his third in the last two months alone.
