After ten years of playing Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr. finally turned in his arc reactor for the last time in Avengers: Endgame.
Downey recently sat down with podcast host Joe Rogan to discuss his future plans following his latest movie Dolittle.
Rogan asked the actor if he had any plans to return as Iron Man, offering up the suggestion that Marvel could use a time machine in future installments to bring the character back.
Downey didn’t seem convinced.
“To me, starting up again is off the table. I feel like I’ve done all I could with that character.” Downey said. “There’d have to be a super compelling argument and a series of events that made it obvious to do it. But the other thing is, I want to do other stuff.”
He also discussed his other famous roles such as Kirk Lazarus in Tropic Thunder, his advice on how to find success, martial arts, and losing his eyesight as he gets older.
